Some Neat Cakes

I have collected a variety of cake pictures so I thought I'd post some of my favorites!

This is one of my favorites! I LOVE the colors!

I like this cake but I think the cake stand doesn't fit the cake!
This was an interesting cake but I think it would look nicer if it was shades of turquoise!

I like the plainness of this cake...
 Interesting!
Have a GREAT day!

Recipe of the day!

Pineapple Cream Cheese Pie

Original recipe makes 1 pie
1 (9 inch) Pastry shell
1/3 cup Honey
         2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
          2 eggs
          1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
          1/2 cup milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. To Make Pineapple Layer: In a medium saucepan combine 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, and pineapple with juice. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is the consistency of jelly.
  3. To Make Cream Cheese Layer: In a medium mixing bowl, whip cream cheese until fluffy. Whip in sugar and salt until mixture is smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and milk. Beat mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Mixture will be liquidy.
  4. Pour pineapple mixture into pastry shell. Pour cream cheese mixture over pineapple layer.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake an additional 50 minutes, until tops of pie begin to brown. Chill before serving. Top with whipped cream if desired. I recommend this recipe highly!
